For RoamZ, a travel booking company, my task was to design a seamless checkout experience that takes the user from the shopping cart to booking confirmation. With a focus on user-centric navigation and minimal friction during the process, I crafted a series of screens that simplify each step, making it easier for customers to complete their bookings confidently and quickly.

1. How RoamZ Checkout Stands Out

Problem

Many travel booking websites overwhelm users with cluttered checkout screens, excessive form fields, and unclear instructions, leading to high cart abandonment rates.

Users often feel lost during the booking process on other websites, unsure how many steps remain or how far they've progressed.

Solution

The RoamZ checkout process is crafted to be a calming journey. It simplifies navigation with a clean design and concise prompts, breaking down the purchase into manageable steps. By keeping each screen focused and free of unnecessary distractions, customers can complete their bookings efficiently.

I designed the RoamZ checkout screens with a consistent and visually prominent progress bar. Each step is labeled clearly (e.g., "Customer Details," "Payment Info"), so users know exactly where they are in the process and what’s coming next. This approach reduces anxiety and provides reassurance throughout the booking.

My design prioritizes trust elements on the payment screen, including secure payment icons, simple language, and transparent cost breakdowns. By reinforcing security and transparency, users are more likely to complete their bookings without second-guessing their decision.
